In 2013 Capital One was about to sponsor the League Cup for the very first time, and in doing so wanted to build a relationship with football fans across the country.

With this in mind we knew that every fan, deep down as a child had dreams of being a football star, and few things speak more directly to football fans than nostalgia. 

So we rekindled their childhood by letting them create there very own football figurine an idea that harks back to the popular 90s football toys.

 

This was achieved by creating a Facebook App that transformed 1,000 football fans into their very own football figure. 

 

Each figure was then hand-crafted and personalise right down to their skin, eye and hair colour - with their name and team number on the back of their shirt.
