Samaritans
Radar
Twitter is being used to express feelings of sadness, before people commit suicide.
Samaritans Radar was our solution - a web tool that alerted you to potentially worrying tweets from friends.
The app scanned Twitter for key phrases such as "help me", "hate myself", mentions of being depressed or needing someone to talk to and then sent an email to that user's friend.
You decided if the tweet was a cry for help or not. If it was, then you were given tips on how to support your friend as well as the Samaritans phone number.
